Carolouise “Carol” Kourt Creacy, 76, of Buchanan Dam, died Friday, Aug. 22, 2014. A memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014 at Cross and Spurs Cowboy Church, Buchanan Dam with the Rev Johnny Sawyer officiating. A reception will follow. Creacy was born in Pampa, Texas, on June 28, 1938. She graduated from Phillips High School in Phillips, Texas. While in high school, she was an accomplished pianist playing in the student jazz ensemble and local piano competitions. Later in life, she participated in church worship as a pianist accompanist. Creacy loved tending her flowers, caring for animals and birds. But most of all she loved caring for her family. She is survived by her husband, Clarence “Cal” Creacy; a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Jill Creacy of Memphis, Tennessee; daughter, Benita Creacy, of Centennial, Colorado; grandchildren and great-grandchildren - Sarah, Jake and Jonah Ryan of Amherst, Virginia, Matt and Nicole, Thayne and Judah Creacy of London, England, Kelsey Scantland of Atlanta, Georgia, Jessica and David Dugas of Irving, Texas, Dan Scantland of Atlanta, Georgia, and Ali Scantland of Fort Collins, Colorado. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to Llano Christian Academy.
