William “Bill” Floyd Whitten, 73, of Buchanan Dam, died Aug. 23, 2014. He was a son of Arnold Gee and Genell Lediva (McBride) Whitten born on Jan. 3, 1941, in Parma, Idaho. Whitten retired from Coca-Cola. He enjoyed golf, bird watching, hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda Whitten, of Buchanan Dam, Texas; sons, James Whitten, of Buchanan Dam, Texas, Steve Whitten of Pflugerville, Texas, and Bill Whitten of Waco, Texas; grandchildren, Benjamin and Meredith Whitten; sisters, Shirley, Ann, Joyce and Linda, as well as many nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made in Whitten’s memory to the Geneva Hospice 2913 Williams Dr. Ste 320, Georgetown, Texas 78628. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Bluffton Cemetery. Tim Denton of the Church of Christ in Burnet will officiate.
