September 12, 2012, 10:19 am by Wayne Craig

Friday night turned out to be a good one for the Lady Bulldog volleyball program as all three Burnet teams defeated Rockdale on the road.

The freshman girls won in three, 25-14, 16-25, 25-18. The JV team collected their victory in two, 25-17, 25-18, and the varsity girls defeated the Lady Tigers in three straight, 25-21, 25-18, 25-18.

For Burnet’s varsity Riana Bond collected 12 digs, while Cassidy Connolly added four more.

Sarah Poe and Connolly each had one block at the net.

Riley Scott knocked down three aces and Bond scored with two more.

Assists were put up by Danielle Lindley who contributed 18, and Poe with seven more.

Connolly also did a great job in the kills department with a team leading 10, while Scott contributed six, and Bailey, five.

"I’m very pleased with the improvement seen during the past week,” said head coach Monica Meyers following Friday’s match.
