She was born in Milton, La., on May 10, 1924 to Louise (Savoy) Goodsell and Jerry Goodsell. She was married to Jerry Waldrope on Aug. 9, 1941 in Burnet. She had been a resident of Rowlett for the past 17 years coming from Hammond, La., and Orange, Texas.
She is survived by grandchildren Jerri Lynn Kepley of Rowlett, Macky Ramsey of Garland, Bob Ramsey of Dallas, and Shelly Ramsey of Rowlett; great-grandchildren Lauren, Ryan, Lana Kaye, Haley, Tyler, Campbell and Cooper; nieces Diane Hatfield of Llano, Donna Davis of Llano, Belinda Hare of Austin, Beth Hare of Beaumont, Becky Snell of Orange, and JoLynn Mott of Orangefield, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jerry Waldrope on Sept. 17, 1994; and daughter Lana Darlene Ramsey.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 13, at 2 p.m., at the Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Danny Meegan officiating.
She will be buried at the Llano City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
